DOULA SERVICES

All pregnancies are different, and that’s why I work with each client to develop a customised plan for pregnancy, birth and beyond. The birth doula package is outlined below but this can be altered to suit your needs. If I sound like a good fit,  get in touch with me to set up an informal chat.

BIRTH DOULA PACKAGE

Prenatal Visits x 2

  • With my prenatal visits, I will get to know you and your family. This will usually be at your home so you can feel most comfortable and typically last for a couple of hours.

  • We will talk about your expectations and any concerns you might have about your pregnancy, birth and the early days of parenting.

  • I will signpost you to evidence based information and help you to put together your birth preferences including different scenarios and options.

  • If you have a birth partner I will chat to both of you about how they can best support you during labour.

  • Support is  available over phone or email from when you book as questions or concerns arise. If you feel you need extra visits or support during an antenatal appointment these can be added to your package.

Birth Support

  • I will be on call from 38 weeks to provide one to one support during your labour, birth and the first couple of hours with your new arrival.

  • I support all births whether in hospital, a midwifery led unit or at home. This includes caesarean birth.

  • I will help to create a safe and comforting space to that you can feel relaxed and allow your body to get on with the task at hand.

  • I can provide comfort measures, a sounding board or simply help to protect your birth space and allow you to focus on listening to your body and your baby.

  • I will provide a tens machine and rebozo and can help to organise hire of a birth pool if you wish to use one and are planning to birth at home.

Postpartum Support

  • I will visit your new family within the first week or so after your birth. We can reflect on your birth experience as well as the first few days with a newborn which can be daunting.

  • I can offer support with feeding, babywearing and signpost to additional resources where needed.

  • If you feel you would benefit from additional visits for some hands on help in those early days or weeks we can discuss adding this on to your package.

Introductory Offer £600 ( 20% off standard price £750)

This will be payable in stages and plans are negotiable.

Additional antenatal or postnatal support can be added to any package at a rate of £50 for 2 hours.
